In this week’s publication of The Cumberland News there is a small notice to say that there will be a Public ‘Drop – in’ meeting to discuss the proposed ‘minor’ changes to the planning application for the incinerator. This ‘drop-in’ session will take place on 23rd January between 5pm-7pm in the Kingmoor Junior School. The LHRA Committee strongly opposed the original proposal & with the information known about the latest changes, believe them to be ‘major’ rather than ‘minor’ & will have a potentially a greater effect on our estate & of the surrounding areas.
It is VERY IMPORTANT that as many of the residents on the estate attend this meeting. We should listen to what is being proposed, question the’ minor changes’ & decide what we do next.
WE NEED A LARGE TURN OUT TO SHOW WE CARE ABOUT OUR ENVIRONMENT, WELL-BEING OF OUR RESIDENTS & THE POSSIBLE HEALTH RISKS TO OUR CHILDREN.
