Dog-fouling on the estate: – Few things irritate people quite so much as the abandoned deposits produced by the U.K.’s eight million dogs. It is often suggested that between them they produce 1,000 tonnes of the stuff each day.
In reality there shouldn’t be a problem – you own a dog – it poos, you clean it up. Failing to do so is anti-social, smelly & cause diseases including toxicariasis. The LHRA would again stress that the problem of dog owners not cleaning up after their dogs is a major problem on the estate & is also a problem to council workers when cutting the grass. I would ask any dog owners who do not ‘scoop the poop’ to think how they would like to be covered in the mess that flies up from the mowers.
Previously litter bins have been removed from areas of the estate by the City Council because of lack of use & austerity cuts to council staff. However, we are trying to ‘work with the councils’ & should shortly be getting some additional litter bins which will attach to lampposts – please use them to deposit your black poo bags.
Please, please think of other residents & SCOOP THE POOP.
Together we will improve the situation – thank you.
